ACCOMMODATION

This is a person cantered support set in a home environment you’ll receive from qualified staff with your daily routines, activities, develop new skills, being in the community and trying new things. We provide an opportunity for carers and residents to enjoy a break from their usual routines in a supportive out of home stay environment for people with disability. Under the NDIS, this classified as Short-term accommodation, also known as respite. It can be short or long stay in a residential home shared with other guests.

In all our Quality Sensory Homes short-term accommodation you choose for your loved one, you have all this available.

  • All day and night specialised staff support
  • Fully accessible environment
  • Access to sensory rooms, social activities, excursions and much more.
  • Accommodations open all year round, including holiday breaks and public holidays
  • Nutritious and balanced diet meals to your taste including breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.
  • Overnight stay, short stays and extended stays available

Supported independent living

Our Supported Independent Living (SIL) is a shared living arrangement of 2 to 5 NDIS participants, with 24/7 support in a home environment. You will be sharing with two to five housemates who would have been matched to suit your personality, hobbies, interests and support needs. Your housemates will be people that you will be sharing many of life’s experiences with and who you will enjoy a social home environment.

SIL supports people with disability that require assistance with daily life tasks, with each resident being funded individually to reflect both individual and shared support in the home.

Quality sensory homes makes sure that all residents and families have a say in how they are supported and accommodation arrangements in their home. We all become one big family, making informed decisions together based on individual and group needs within our home.

In all our Quality Sensory Homes will provide you with support with daily life tasks within your home as a group or individually to support independence and build personal skills. This may include but not limited to

  • Cooking and meal preparations.
  • Access to sensory rooms
  • Personal care such as showering.
  • Support in using public transport.
  • Social outings with other housemates.
  • Accessing recreation activities.

Home care services

With a Home Care Package, you choose your services and you are in control of designing a care plan to meet your individual circumstance and budget. At Quality Sensory Homes we are here to help you along the way. 

A Home Care Package is a combination of Government funds and your own contribution. You control your package to receive the care and support you need to live the life you choose in your home.
There are a wide variety of services, equipment and supports available to you. We have the flexibility to provide almost any care service that meets your lifestyle goals. Some of the options available to you are:

  • Personal care services e.g. support with showering
  • Social support e.g. social groups and activities
  • Access to digital technology e.g. computer classes
  • Transport Or for those once-off or occasional needs
  • Modifications to your home
  • Equipment and technology
  • A spring clean
  • Home maintenance

Transport

Designed to assist in maintaining independence and autonomy to get around safely and conveniently. This service is very useful for people who are not able to drive and when public transport is not suitable or safe. We can easily facilitate transport services:

  • To and from medical appointments
  • Shopping, accompanied or unaccompanied
  • Recreational outings, social visits or per the individual’s wishes

Personal Care

Provided in a safe, respectful, private and dignified way without compromising the individual’s comfort and personal space.  We provide services to assist with routine personal care such as:

  • Mobility equipment, walking frames, sticks, shower seats etc.
  • Medication administration and reminders, meal preparation and feeding
  • Showering, assistance with grooming, shaving, toileting, dressing and getting in and out of bed

Domestic Care
